# Feature Rarity

Each and every possible feature in a drop is assigned a feature rarity. There are five levels of rarity for features, from common to legendary, which often correspond with how endangered a certain species is.

The goal of features is to raise awareness, while providing a fun way to learn about the delicate balance of biodiversity in the rainforest. This is an integral part of the experience of building your NFT collection through various game mechanics.

To determine the features for your card, the system will randomly choose one of the available flora or fauna for each category when your NFT is minted. The probability of receiving a specific rarity is outlined in the image below.

Note that it’s possible to get all commons, or a mix of commons and legendaries, or even all legendaries. It’s this randomness that adds excitement and depth to collecting and minting new NFTs.
