# Future Integration

For the initial launch of Nemus, Ethereum gas fees will be an unavoidable necessity.

However, as Nemus evolves, it will take full advantage of new technologies to make higher frequency transactions independent of the Ethereum mainnet. These technologies may include sidechains, layer two solutions, or different smart contract platforms altogether. Through the world of web 3.0, much is possible and all chains connect.

In the future we imagine Nemus as a cross-chain experience that is blockchain agnostic and we’re excited to take part in blazing that future trail together with other innovators in the space.
