## Rediscovering a Forgotten Airstrip

![](/files/LC5Ol7J7o6mq0AKvSGxi)

One of the first actions Nemus will take in the Genesis Drop will be to rebuild the abandoned airstrip near the original base camp and reconstruct a fallen bridge. These actions are essential for accessibility, as the only alternative is a 14-hour boat ride up the Purus River and down the Seruini.

With the airstrip in place, Nemus will be able to build the infrastructure necessary to revitalize the Brazil Nut operation.

Additionally, with the bridge reconstructed, the local indigenous village -- which now calls the old base camp home -- will once again have easier access to the Brazil Nut trees that have provided for them for decades.

Only now, with Nemus’s help, they’ll receive a greater value for their labor than ever before.
