# Monitoring & Enforcement

Nemus also aims to implement the most advanced monitoring systems possible within its bases. These systems will include satellite imagery and advanced drone footage to provide ongoing information on the health of the forests it is protecting. There is technology that can provide early indication on where a fire may be starting, or where illegal clear cutting is happening and even measure the density of biomass in existing forests.

In addition to monitoring technology, Nemus aims to invest in the necessary infrastructure and equipment to empower local police authorities. With the proper investments they can improve their capabilities to audit and enforce any illegal squatting or clear cutting activities. This equipment ranges from satellite phones to pick up trucks, RTVs, aircraft, fire brigade equipment and boats.
