# Categories

There are four distinct categories that correspond with the four "layers" of the rainforest, and every NFT has a plant, animal, or insect within each category. For example, one possible configuration of card features is as follows:

| Category   | Feature                  |
| ---------- | ------------------------ |
| Emergent   | Harpy Eagle              |
| Canopy     | Brown-Mantled Tamarin    |
| Understory | Peacock Flower           |
| Floor      | Amazonian Black Scorpion |

Each feature can be associated with only one specific category. For example, the Black Scorpion will only be found on the Floor, never in the other layers.
